Ferralium® 255 strainer plates outlast Alloy 316 stainless steel plates when filtering wood fibres from cooking liquor after the digestion process in paper-making.
The improvement comes from a combination of superior corrosion and erosion resistance. The greater strength of this super duplex alloy also lets a plate be designed with more holes, speeding up filtration.
