Wellhead and subsea equipment has to hold well pressure and resist seawater and produced fluids for the life of the field, with no easy access for repair.

We supply the super duplex and age-hardenable nickel bar that this equipment is machined from, from stock in the UK and USA.

Which alloy for wellhead and christmas-tree bodies?

Super duplex - Ferralium® 255, Alloy 32750 and Alloy 32760 - for seawater and production service, moving to age-hardening nickel where strength and sour resistance are critical.

Which alloy for subsea connectors and hangers?

Alloy 718, Alloy 725 and Alloy 925 - high-strength corrosion-resistant alloys to API 6ACRA and NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156.

Which alloy for lower-strength corrosion-resistant parts?

Alloy 2205 and the super duplex grades, where corrosion resistance rather than peak strength is the requirement.

Do you supply to API 6A and 6ACRA?

Yes, subject to the grade and delivery condition. Send the specification with the enquiry and we will confirm the grade and current stock.
