Cold drawn stainless and duplex bar at Offshore Stainless & Alloys

Cold drawing

Cold drawing pulls hot rolled bar through a die at room temperature, improving dimensional accuracy, surface finish and mechanical properties. Offshore Stainless & Alloys, a Langley Alloys Group company, cold draws stainless, duplex, super duplex and nickel alloy bar in round, hexagonal, square and flat forms: round to 4 inch, hexagon to 55mm across flats, in lengths up to 16m and to h11 tolerance. Its cold drawn UNS S32760 super duplex bar is NORSOK approved to MDS D59/D59L (strain hardened), serving offshore, energy, marine and industrial applications.

Custom forgings

Rings, blanks and shafts sourced through our long-standing industry relationships, using free-issue stock from our own warehouse. A practical route to forged components in our specialist grades, including sizes that are hard to source elsewhere.

Ground bars

Bar ground to improved dimensional tolerance and straightness, for components that run in seals, bearings or interference fits. Managed with specialist sub-contractors to keep handling and packaging quality high.

Alloy bar during heat treatment

Heat treating

We can supply bar heat treated to the condition your application needs, to your specification and with full certification. Common options include solution annealing, age (precipitation) hardening and stress relief. Sourcing the material and its heat treatment together keeps testing and handling under one order and shortens lead times.
