UNS S32750 (SAF2507) is a wrought super duplex stainless steel. Its nearest cast equivalents are ASTM A890, ASTM A995 and ASME SA351/995 grade CE3Mn (also called 5A or UNS J93404), commonly described as 25Cr-7Ni-Mo-N. Wrought and cast versions share a similar composition, but wrought products have significantly better mechanical properties and lower defect risk.

UNS S32750 is available as solid bar, plate, pipe, fittings, forgings and castings. We carry a comprehensive stock of UNS S32750 (1.4410, F53) as solid bar up to 16" diameter and plate up to 3" thickness. Machining components from solid bar or plate reduces the risk of rejection, because wrought product is far less likely to contain internal defects. On castings these defects often become apparent only after machining, so considerable time and expense can be lost. Castings remain useful for more complex geometries, larger components or longer production runs, but the mechanical properties of a wrought (rolled or forged) product are significantly better than those of a cast one.

Key features of UNS S32750

  • Superb resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in chloride-bearing environments
  • Excellent resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting
  • High resistance to general corrosion
  • Good weldability
  • Physical properties that offer design advantages
  • High resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
  • Very high mechanical strength
