ASTM A473 is the American Society for Testing and Materials' "Standard Specification for Stainless Steel Forgings". It defines the composition and mechanical property requirements for a wide range of stainless steel forgings for general use, plus low- and high-temperature service.
It also covers sampling and certification requirements, product marking and grain size requirements.
