32760 is a super duplex stainless steel based on a chromium content of around 25%, giving excellent corrosion resistance. "32760" is shorthand for UNS S32760.

Related: Super Duplex

Origins: Zeron 100

The grade now called 32760 has its roots in a 1980s development by Mather & Platt, a Manchester-based UK company that made large-scale centrifugal pumps, and was marketed as Zeron 100. Super duplex stainless steel was an obvious choice for pump bodies handling aggressive solutions, needing corrosion resistance, strength and wear resistance. The Mather & Platt pump division was later acquired by Weir Pumps, though the Manchester site and foundry closed. The Zeron 100 trademark is now held by Rolled Alloys Inc.

Alloy 32760 (UNS S32760, 1.4501, F55) includes a deliberate addition of tungsten, claimed to selectively improve corrosion resistance.

We carry significant stock of 32760 at our UK and USA warehouses, as round bars from 5/8"-20" diameter (15.87-508mm), plate up to 3" (76.2mm) thickness, plus pipes in scheduled sizes, flanges and fittings.
