This paper reviews the traditional flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) process and the material-selection challenges it presents.
Across a range of test results, Alloy S32520 (Industeel 52N+) offers the best combination of corrosion resistance and strength. This supports the use of Ferralium® in FGD applications, given the similarity in specification.
