This paper supports the use of Ferralium® 255 in the process section of the wet phosphoric acid production process, where corrosion and erosion-corrosion are the main problems.
Although it was written primarily to introduce Alloy G-30, it summarises a significant body of information showing the superiority of Ferralium® over Alloy 904L and 22%Cr duplex stainless steels, thanks to its excellent corrosion and erosion-corrosion resistance.
