We do not currently offer trepanning from our in-house deep hole borer, though we can arrange it through our network of subcontractors.

The benefit of trepanning over boring is that the central core is kept as a smaller-diameter solid bar rather than removed as swarf. Because the properties of that core can differ from the published test results, it may need further heat treatment and re-testing.
