This marine-service impeller is cast in Hiduron® 130 (DIN 2.1504, DTD900/4805, Hidurax Special), one of the Langley bronzes, for its particularly good corrosion resistance to sea water alongside its other physical and mechanical properties.
The casting weighs some 2500lb and is a further example of the Langley specialised casting technique for impellers, which can be supplied from 5lb in weight upwards.
