This impeller casting in Hiduron® 130 (DIN 2.1504, DTD900/4805, Hidurax Special) is 27" in diameter and weighs nearly two hundredweights (91kg). It forms part of a multiple-stage pumping unit for marine use.
It is another instance of using a Langley bronze for its very good corrosion resistance in sea water applications, coupled with its other excellent physical and mechanical properties.
