These gears are machined from Hiduron® 130 stampings and forgings to close, instrument-type tolerances. Hiduron® alloys combine high mechanical strength with excellent wear resistance and anti-frictional properties, so they are increasingly specified for gearing where high dimensional accuracy of almost instrument quality is essential.
Hiduron® alloys also offer high corrosion resistance, which matters where the gearing is intended for service in corrosive environments.
