Mechanical engineering demands strength, fatigue and wear resistance and corrosion resistance across shafts, bushings, fasteners and wear parts. Langley supplies duplex and super duplex stainless, precipitation-hardening stainless and copper-nickel-aluminium alloys to suit.

Duplex and super duplex for strength with corrosion resistance

Alloy 2205 duplex and Ferralium^® 255 super duplex offer roughly twice the strength of standard austenitic stainless together with excellent resistance to pitting, crevice attack and stress-corrosion cracking, for shafts, pump and valve components and other loaded parts working in aggressive environments.

Copper-nickel-aluminium for bearings, bushings and wear parts

Hiduron^® 130 combines high strength with good bearing and wear properties and strong resistance to seawater and marine atmospheres, making it a dependable choice for bushings, bearings, wear rings and slow-moving components.

Precipitation-hardening stainless for shafts and stressed parts

17-4 PH provides high strength and hardness with moderate corrosion resistance and is widely used for shafts, spindles, fasteners and other highly stressed engineering components.
