Copper alloys for conductivity with strength
Hidurel® 5 (a copper-nickel-silicon-chromium alloy) combines good electrical and thermal conductivity with high strength and hardness, and holds its properties at moderately elevated temperature. It is a long-established choice for resistance- and seam-welding electrodes and wheels, electrical contacts and current-carrying components that must also resist wear.
High-strength copper-nickel for connectors and contacts
Hiduron® 130 and Hiduron® 191 add high strength and excellent resistance to seawater and marine atmospheres, making them well suited to connectors, contacts and current-carrying parts in marine, offshore and defence electronics where corrosion would otherwise be a problem.
Forms and supply
Supplied as bar and hollow bar, with in-house machining, cutting and inspection so components can be delivered finished and certified from a single source.
