This paper reviews the traditional flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) process and the material-selection challenges it presents.
It offers a balanced perspective, recommending materials according to particular sets of process conditions, together with a list of customer references. Alloy S32520/S32550 (Industeel 52N+) is suggested for good performance in medium-aggressive locations, supporting the use of Ferralium® in this application given the similarity in specification.
