N07725 is the Unified Numbering System (UNS) designation for the nickel-based alloy most commonly known as Inconel® 725. The UNS system was created by a group of trade bodies in the 1970s to reduce confusion from one alloy being called different things, or different alloys sharing a name. Each metal is shown by a letter followed by five numbers, where the letter indicates the family - N for nickel-based alloys.

Alloy 725 (Inconel 725, UNS N07725) is practically identical in composition to Alloy 625 (Inconel 625, UNS N06625, 2.4856), so it offers very similar corrosion resistance and physical properties. However, Alloy 725 provides significantly higher strength because it is precipitation-strengthened: small composition additions allow microscopic precipitates to form during an extended heat-treatment process, and these fine precipitates increase the yield strength by two times.

We stock Alloy 725 from 1" (25.4mm) to 4" (101.6mm) diameter.
