Frequently asked questions
Do all products come with a certificate as standard?
Yes. Every product is supplied with a 3.1 mill certificate as standard, giving full traceability back to the original bar, its heat and the producing mill, without needing to request it separately or pay an additional certification fee.
How is traceability maintained through the supply chain?
Traceability is maintained through a combination of hard stamps, labels and bar codes, together with colour coding of both the bars themselves and their associated paperwork, so a bar's origin can be confirmed at any point after it leaves the mill.
Why does traceability matter so much for these products?
Traceability is a fundamental requirement for the critical markets these products supply into, where a failure needs to be traced back to its exact source. That is why significant effort is dedicated to maintaining it throughout, rather than treating it as optional paperwork.
