Langley Alloys shortlisted in EEF competition

Langley Alloys UK Warehouse

An image of Langley Alloys UK warehouse has been shortlisted in this year’s Engineering Employers Federation annual photography competition, which is designed to inspire a new image and improved public perception of UK manufacturing using photography. The chosen image captures an aspect of our stock-taking process, undertaken on an annual basis, where every item of material in the warehouse is checked with respect to dimensions, specification and location to underpin traceability and support our end-of-year accounting.

The image was taken by Steve Morgan, who specialises in industrial photography and has previously shot many aspects of the steel production and supply chain process across the UK. It is therefore particularly gratifying that the image from Langley Alloys can rub shoulders with images from the likes of Rolls Royce, Tata Steel and Liberty Steel.

The winners will be announced on 12th December at the House of Commons, and the image subsequently used across various Government departments and in promotional campaigns.

British manufacturing is an industry that has been improving with more investment in apprenticeships being part of the cutting edge development of industry technology. This competition will highlight and reflect on the innovation and hard work that takes place every day as part of the manufacturing industry at Langley Alloys.
