CS66 – Hiduron 130 – Impeller Casting

This impeller casting in Hiduron 130 (DIN 2.1504, DTD900/4805, Hidurax Special) is 27” in diameter and weighs nearly two hundred weights (91kg). It is part of a multiple stage pumping unit for marine use. This is another instance of the use of one of the Langley bronzes because of their very good corrosion resistance in sea water applications, couple with their other excellent physical and mechanical properties.
