What is Uranus 52N+?

Uranus 52N+ is a former-trademark of Industeel. The product is now promoted as UR2507Cu.

It designates a type of  super duplex stainless steel, closely following UNS S32550. This product is better known on the marketplace as Ferralium 255.

Ferralium 255 (UNS32550, DIN 1.4507, F61) is the original SDSS, developed by Langley Alloys in the 1960’s. It is still the only super duplex to provide a yield strength greater than 85ksi. At the same time, the increased copper content (2%) of Ferralium 255 ensures greater resistance to acids in comparison to other alloys of that type. This makes it an excellent choice for construction projects, where its  high strength and resistance to
