The acid slurry handled contains 30% P2O5, 30% solids, plus H2SO4, HF and Chlorides, so that high corrosion and erosion resistance is essential to ensure maximum operational life.
FERRALIUM 255 (UNS S32550, Alloy 255, DIN 1.4507, ASTM F61) was specified as the material for all components of these pumps because of its proved durability in identical applications world-wide.
