One of the most corrosive elements in the production of fertilisers is phosphoric acid, and one of the most successful and widely used materials resistant to its corrosive effects is FERRALLIUM super duplex stainless steel.
These flanged pipes cast in FERRALIUM 255(UNS S32550, Alloy 255, DIN 1.4507, ASTM F61) will form part of a submersible pump assembly used in the production of phosphoric acid by the ‘wet process’. The castings each weigh 224lb.
