This centrifuge casting in Ferralium® 255 super duplex stainless steel (UNS S32550, Alloy 255, DIN 1.4507, ASTM F61) is 25" in diameter, 19" long, and weighs about 200lb.
Ferralium® 255 was selected for its superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking in the presence of chlorides, compared with standard 18/10/3Mo stainless steels such as "20" alloy.
