Fermonic is a trademark belonging to Langley Alloys Ltd. Fermonic 50 (XM19, 1.3964, Nitronic 50) is our version of the popular XM19 austenitic stainless steel and is widely used for valve components such as stems, and in marine applications. It is available in two conditions, the standard solution annealed grade and a high strength version. The higher strength version is manufactured by Langley Alloys using proprietary manufacturing conditions to achieve the increased strength consistently through the bar diameter.
