From our case study archives: Arco Petroleum Products Company in Ferndale Washington selected Ferralium® 255 for cable conduits which house cathodic protection wiring. The circuits protect the steel sheathing from corrosion around the aggressive splash-zone region. The conduit must obviously resist corrosion in seawater and also provide mechanical integrity. Higher strengths than other stainless steels allow it to be used more cost effectively.
