This paper explores a wide range of material choices for the hull of a novel boat design- where resistance to cavitation is the primary concern. Of all the alloys considered, Ferralium® was shown to perform the strongest (p.40), although composites and GRP materials were also tested and considered for other performance considerations i.e. weight.
