TP009 – Metallic Answers for FGD Systems

This paper gives a good overview of the traditional flue gas desulphurisation process and the challenges it poses on material selection. A balanced perspective is presented, recommending materials based upon particular sets of process conditions, together with a list of customer references. Alloy S32520/S32550 (Industeel 52N+) are suggested to provide good performance in medium aggressive locations – supporting the use of Ferralium^® in this application due to the similarity in specification.
