Sanmac 2205

We are offering customers placing an order for Sanmac 2205 during January free beer from our local Titanic Brewery, to promote the appointment of Langley Alloys as preferred UK distributor of Sandvik’s duplex stainless steel bars.

All you need to do is place an order with us for £200 or more – it’s as simple as that. UK customers only.

Sanmac 2205 is a machinability-improved version of the duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel Alloy 2205.

The good machining properties make Sanmac 2205 a superior alternative to standard 2205 grades and other duplex grades for applications subjected to all types of machining by extended tool life and possibilities to increase productivity. Due to its excellent corrosion properties, Sanmac 2205 is a highly suitable material for service in environments containing chlorides and hydrogen sulfide. The material is suitable for use in the extraction of oil and gas from sour wells, in refineries and in process solutions contaminated with chlorides.

And why does Stoke on Trent have a brewery called Titanic?

The aforementioned Captain Smith was a resident of these parts, before ‘that’ iceberg entered into modern history.

The small print:  The only catch is that this is limited to customers located on the mainland UK and Northern Ireland, orders over £200 – shipping beer is an expensive matter and we’d prefer not to put our money in the hands of the couriers. you could join us here for a pint instead……
