What is the difference between nickel alloys and nickel-copper alloys?

Nickel alloys are those where the predominant element is nickel. As such, there are a large number of different nickel alloys, including a family of alloys based upon nickel and copper. The most widely-known nickel – copper alloys are the Monel® family, which is a trademark of Special Metal Inc, which includes Monel K-500 (2.4375) and Monel 400.
