CS02 – Ferralium 255 – Boat shaft

Ferralium^® 255 shafts, approximately 3 ½” diameter by 22ft long, have also been fitted to fast patrol boats in service since 1976. Several years into service the shafts were subject to detailed examination and showed no sign of general corrosion, crevice corrosion or pitting. Ferralium^® 255 combines both excellent corrosion resistance and increased strength, meaning that it can be used in smaller sections and for extended periods compared with more standard stainless steels.
