Fermonic® 50 Annealed (XM19) is a nitrogen-strengthened stainless steel that provides very good resistance to corrosion. An excellent combination of strength, ductility and toughness even at cryogenic temperatures combine to make Fermonic 50 / XM-19 a useful alloy in a wide variety of applications including pumps and fittings for chemical equipment, fasteners, cables, Boat fittings and Down Hole Tooling. Fermonic 50 / XM-19 offers higher strength and improved corrosion, abrasion and erosion resistance to other austenitic alloys such as 316L and 317L. Listed in NACE MR 01 75, XM-19 can be used in a wide variety of applications. |
